Sebastien Martinez - Academy Fitness Director

Sebastien Martinez brings world-class expertise in athletic development and elite tennis
conditioning to his role as Coordinator of Physical Performance.
A four-time Ironman finisher, a former national-level middle-distance runner (800m–1500m), and
an active tennis player holding an 8,5 UTR, Sebastien possesses a deep understanding of high-
level athletic demands. His background uniquely bridges the gap between pure endurance and
sports science with tennis-specific movement, power, and agility.
Over his career, Sebastien has worked at the pinnacle of French and international tennis. At the
prestigious INSEP (National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance), he served as
Coordinator of Strength & Conditioning and Paramedical Services for the Tennis Department,
while also leading physical preparation for the French Junior National Team for three years. He
was a Strength & Conditioning Coach at the National Training Center (CNE) at Roland Garros
and spent years developing top junior talent (ages 8 to 18) for the French Tennis Federation’s
regional high-performance center in Paris. Furthermore, he served as an official instructor and
educator for the French Tennis Federation's High-Performance Coaching Diploma programs.
Sebastien has trained and conditioned numerous elite professional and junior athletes. His track
record includes working with Top 100 WTA players Harmony Tan (WTA No. 90), Chloé Paquet
(WTA No. 96), Séléna Janicijevic (WTA No. 153), ATP tour players Luka Pavlovic (ATP No.
184) and Johan Sébastien Tatlot (ATP No. 226 / ITF Junior No. 5), and Mehdi Sadaoui
European Champion U16, alongside dozens of other top-ranked international competitors.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Training, Health, and Nutrition (STAPS), the European
University Diploma in Strength & Conditioning (Turin, Lausanne, Brussels, Lyon), an official
Strength & Conditioning diploma from the French Tennis Federation (FFT), and a 1st Degree
High-Performance Tennis Coaching Diploma from the French Tennis Federation (FFT).
